Yui Rail is the urban rail system serving Naha and Urasoe. This practice covers the operator's current route from Naha Airport to Tedako-Uranishi without omitting a station.

What this practice covers

The current network has one operator, two operating directions of the same line, 19 stations, and 17 route kilometres. Use both directions to make every station—including both terminals—an arrival target.

    Kanji, kana, and romaji stay together

    The active word shows its Japanese form, reading, input spelling, grammar role, and meaning in one eye line.

    The real city remains visible

    Current GTFS geometry is drawn on an interactive basemap; the map follows the current two-station leg without blocking exploration.

    Audio and typing share one sentence

    Long arrival wording is divided into three short tasks. The Japanese, reading, romaji, translation, and learning voice all refer to the sentence being typed.

How the data was verified

    Operator pages

    Station names, readings, official English names, order, route length, and station chime titles are checked against Okinawa Urban Monorail's public materials.

    Current geographic data

    Station coordinates and the line shape come from the operator's current GTFS feed published by OTTOP under CC BY 4.0.

  3. 03

    Announcement wording

    The arrival formula and door side are checked against a public full-line onboard transcript. The crowd-flow message is included only because a current operator report confirms it has played at non-terminal stations since June 2024.

Naha Yui Rail typing FAQ

01Does this include every Yui Rail station?

Yes. It includes all 19 current stations from Naha Airport through Tedako-Uranishi. Reversing direction makes the opposite terminal an arrival task too.

02Is the map based on the real railway?

Yes. The basemap is geographic, station coordinates come from current GTFS, and the red route follows the published line shape.

03Are the station chimes played here?

No. The operator-published melody title is shown for each station, but FlowType does not redistribute the original station recordings. The short cue and Japanese learning voice are generated.

04Is the voice the official Yui Rail announcer?

No. The wording is prepared from referenced sources, while the voice is generated for synchronized language practice and is clearly labelled as such.

05Why is the announcement split into words?

Typing one aligned block at a time keeps the audio, Japanese, reading, romaji, grammar, and translation synchronized with the learner's input.
